Where life took me after TF South |
Frank Fetters has been a professional actor, a USMC infantry rifleman, a steelworker, a high school wrestling coach, a sports writer, a public aid caseworker, a special education teacher, a mental health specialist, an adjunct assistant professor of Drama, a deputy sheriff, a deputy federal marshal, a security officer, a security lieutenant, a private investigator, a technical instructor for the nuclear industry, a community college instructor, and a substitute teacher. He holds a BA in Communications and an MA in Theatre Arts from Northern Illinois University, where he completed the first successful playwriting thesis ever attempted there. He has also studied creative writing under Douglas Unger at UNLV and John Keeble at Eastern Washington University.
In addition to acting and directing at his university, Mr. Fetters acted in three motion pictures for Gospel Films of Muskegon, MI, two plays directed by Joseph Bernard in Las Vegas, and has written, acted and directed for Yakima Community Television and the Acting Factory in Yakima, WA. His published and produced works include HARRY, PRINCE OF DREAMS; ABSENCE OF A PAST, PROMISE OF A FUTURE; ALL THAT & A BAG O’ CHIPS!; “Homer: a one-act play”; and CHECKMATE IN TWO MOVES, a teleplay which won second prize in the national Hometown USA contest. |
